Carved high cross dating from the 9th or 10th century in a field outside the ruined cathedral of Kilfenora, County Clare, Ireland. Kilfenora was known as the "City of the Crosses" due to the number of large number of high crosses found there. The Pope is the bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kilfenora.
