The Hag's Chair

The Hag's Chair - Ruins and Not So Ruined
Carved rock known as the Hag's Chair on the side of Cairn T, Sliabh na Callaighe, County Meath, Ireland. Although very little is known about the rock's original pagan function it may have been used in the inauguration of kings and/ or as a mass altar during Penal times (when Catholics were forbidden to practise their religion). A cross can be seen carved into the top of the rock.
